Gotta love Judi Dench! At the young age of 85, she has just been featured on the cover of British Vogue.
And a great decision by the editorial team. It's not too long ago that it would have been unimaginable to have an 85-year-old woman on cover of the world's most prestigious magazine.
It's a great story and well worth reading. Apparently Judi Dench is a champagne enthusiast and Giles Hattersley, the journalist who wrote the story, gifted her a bottle of Dom Pérignon Blanc Vintage 2008 when he visited.
She has 11 Baftas, an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Queen Elizabeth 1 in Shakespeare in Love as well as seven Academy Award nominations plus numerous other gongs.
Interestingly, she says that ageing is "not a cakewalk" and there is nothing good about.
She relates that her mate and fellow actor, Maggie Smith, was worried that her licence was about to be taken away from her, something that happened to Dench a couple of years ago because of her facing eyesight.
Judi Dench is simply fabulous...off now to watch for the umpteenth million time Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, surely one of her best!
